Aisha graduated from Macquarie University in 2011 with a Bachelor in Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. At the age of 16 Aisha decided she wanted to be a Chiropractor, due to her own positive experience with Chiropractic, as well as her strong interest in anatomy, physiology and sport. Now her focus is on helping people to reach optimal function and health through Chiropractic, especially children.
In March 2012, Aisha started practicing here at Macquarie Place Chiropractic, where she stayed for two years before moving to Auckland, New Zealand to further her studies and become involved in Chiropractic research. While in Auckland Aisha started her second Master’s degree, worked in the Centre for Chiropractic Research and practiced in a holistic health clinic, learning a technique called Total Body Modification.
Aisha has a passion for research, particularly looking at the neurological effects of the Chiropractic adjustment. She is currently completing her Masters thesis and plans to continue on to a PhD in the future, focussing her research on the effect of Chiropractic adjustments on the way the brain processes sensory information in children with neurodevelopmental issues.
In practice, Aisha uses a range of techniques, including: total body modification, applied kinesiology, manual adjusting and lower force techniques. Aisha acknowledges that each person is different and therefore, she strives to tailor her care to suit the individual in front of her.
